Negro preacher named Richard Sorrick, African Negro Church, Edgar, Ont.Born ca. 1816 in Washington County, Maryland. Sold with his parents to slavery. Purchased freedom for $00, moved to Pennsylavaina 1843, to Canada 1845. Lived in Oro untill he went to Hamilton 1847. American Methodist Episcopal preacher.
