transformer site City councils general committee Monday recommended to Ontario Hydro that the utili ty build its proposed Barrie Northeast Transformer Station on the north side of Car son Road about 1000 feet west of Highway 2627 in Vespra Township The site is one of four possible locations Hydro chose for the station which the utility wants to build to meet increased demand for electricity from the northern part of Barrie Midhursl and surrounding areas of Vespra Township Hydro also says the station is needed to ease the demand on the Tiffin Street transformer to accommodate increased de mand from areas of lnnisfil Township the city plans to annex Jan The new station will take power from the 230 kilovolt main transmission line which cuts through Vespra Township Three of the sug gested
