Collingwgod police wives got about 700 signatures on their procapital punishment petition in 90 minutes at Georgian and Bayfield malls Friday evening spokesman Ann Chevers said today She said the group plans to spend another three hours at Georgian Mall beginning about gpm today and hopes to bring in another 1000 Signatures The petition to be presented to federal justice minister Ron Basford Nov 28 calls for return to the death penalty tighter gun control laws and an end to temporary passes for prisoners The petition arose following the Oct 12 shooting death of Sgt Ron McKean of the Collingwood force Target for the petition is 10000 or more signatures No current total was available this morning Mrs Chevers said 200 copies of the petition are being cir culated provincewide by mem
