downtown Barrie is living testimony to the classic story of Hollwood star today gone tomorrow On one side of Dunlop Street The Heretic is showing is the sequel to The Exorcist the box office smash of few years years back There is no large crowd lined up to get in Across the street Imperial Cinema Two is showing The Deepsequel to the alltime classic Jaws There is no lineup But there are throngs of peo ple on Dunlop Street all heading to Imperial Cinema One Star Wars arrived in Bar rie Friday and drew the crowds thatjustify critics nam ing it the box office hit of 1977 LINE1 By 55 there were only single seats left for the pm show Then there were none The line up for the pin show went along Dunlop Street around the corner and almost halfway down Maple Street With the exception of one young boy who said he wanted to see the movie because he liklt ed the Star Wars comic books all the people said they were waiting in line because so meone had told them it was very good Inovic Satr Wars is space fan tasytrue science fiction Good science fiction movies dont come along very often and according to Jim Brett manager of the Imperial Theatre Star Wars is good science fiction Brett said he personally is not keen on science fictIon but found Star Wars fas cainating It is the best of all other science fiction movies rolled into one he said lhre is one main theme but many different characters Brett said he could identify with the hero and became in volved with the movie It goes beyond Star Trek the popular television program he said lwelveyearold Iim Crease Coming out of the pm show said the movie was at least as good as Star Trek and has some pretty good combat scenes lvo teenage girls said the robots were the best and Star Wars was the best movie they have every seen The
