missing after an attempt to assassinate him during the weekend Government officials in Kampala the capital of neighboring Uganda said by telephone that as far as they know the report is inaccurate But an unidentified Ugandan who answered the telephone at Amins resi dence at Entebbe 19 miles southwest of Kam pala said We dont know where he is or what has happened to him Radio Uganda reported that Amin might attend refugee day celebration in western Uganda today However in later news bulletin the radio dropped its report that the president would attend the ceremonies It made no mention of the Ugandan leader The report of Amins disappearance was published by the independent Nairobi Daily Nation It says Ugandan VicePresident Mustafa Adrisi confirmed the disappearance and told the newspaper If you find him please contact Uganda immediately Adrisi said the police and army were booking for Amin throughout Uganda The Nation reported but it said he would not con firm or deny the report of an assassination at tempt on the Ugandan dictator The newspaper said sources whom it did not identify reported that two gunmen tried to kill Amin on Saturday at the Bayitabire trading centre two miles
