today The unemployment rate adjusted for seasonal factors decreased to 79 per cent of the labor force from the record 83percent jobless in April Actual unemployment in May was 77 per cent down from grant and of filing the petition were aldermen Janice Laking Bill Knowles Alex Arthur Gord Mills Fred Rueniper Ed Thompson and Ross Stephens Voting to consider the petition at next weeks general
