vw High school sports Sports year winding down By STEVE NEELY With only three weeks of school remaining the high school sports scene is slowly winding up The Georgian Bay Secondary School Association GBSSA rugby 7s tournament is at York University Tuesday with 32 GBSSA 15s tournament at York University on Thurs Barrie Central should have no problem recapturing the 7s title in both senior and junior divisions Central has such speedsters as Doug Bell Paul Laking and Paul Cherry on the senior team Dave Waldock Dave Britnell and Dave Cloughley add speed to the junior team North Collegiate and Eastview Secondary are favored to battle it out in the midget division but Central could sur prise everyone if Steve Aust comes up with another strong performance He has scored nine of the 10 trys by Central this season In the 15s competition Markham District High and Eastview could give Central good run in the senior divi sion Central is hoping for the return of Bill Little who has been sidelined so far this season with back injury The Central juniors should have no problem in Georgian Bay but could run into difficulty in the allOntario if Dave Cloughley is not back Cloughley is the key player in the junior teams backfield The midget division is tossup between North and Eastview with Stouffville another strong contender The recent performance by the Stayner Collegiate In stitute track team in the North Bay track meet showed they are power to be reckoned with They finished fourth out of 45 schools The GBSSA track meet will take place in Parry Sound Tuesday and there should be few
