ad ministrator Gerry Tamblyn said Also increased were car allowances for council mem bers The mayor will get $1800 up from $1500 while aldermen will get $600 apiece up from $400 Car allowances are not af fected by antiinflation guidelines Tamblyn said In addition to his council salary and car allowance the mayor receives $1500 year as member of the city police commission and about $600 year as member of planning board depending on the num ber of meetings Aldermen Thompson and Laking led drive to give the mayor an extra $1000 by taking the money from aldermens salaries but withdrew the mo
