Mountie story was an im mensely popular form of youth literature during my formative years In 1930 at least 75 vol umes of Mountie fiction were published in Canada not to mention the many juvenile sto ries that appeared in magazines and elsewhere selection of 18 of these sto ries has just been published un rlcr the title of Best Mounted Police Stories edited by Dick Harrison University of Alberta
