avoid life of crime if they are made to pay for their crime If they are only warned 90 per cent of them will repeat their crimes she said If theyre given community work they would feel they have done something for their crime and they wont repeat it she said The offenders most who would have been guilty of shoplifting or vandalism would be available to do any type of community work that will save education to cover instruction from kindergarten to grade 10 Catholic high schools that in clude grades ll 12 and t22l charge students an annual tuir tion and depend on other sources and methods of raising funds Some 50 per cent of the 900 families which responded to the survey said they would be prepared to pay tuition fee he said Mrs Fagents said Simcoe County has 225 young offenders at any time 20 of whom would likely be from Innisfil At cost of about $70 day to keep an offender in jail and about $240 day to keep so meone on probation cost of the program would be negligi ble said Mrs his recom mendation In report presented to com mittee Wednesday Larry Mor row said he was recommended by one of two firms surveying the damaged buildings to replace the buildings The buildings the concession booth and the ladies change room were damaged in two fires June 14 Cause of the first is under investigation Although Morrow is awaiting recommendation from another firm he said if both firms agreed the township should advertise for quotations to demolish the buildings Grant Andrade deputy reeve said however the municipality shouldnt be in such hurry to tear down the buildings He suggested report be made by Doug Ried building inspector hope before we start tear ing down we have more comlt prehensive report said An drade in reference to Morrows report Morrow said however the report he had indicated the municipality had no other choice but to tear down the buildings Although he said he wasnt sure if the buildings have been declared unsafe Morrow said he personally would
