been recommended by the Planning Board of the Planning Area of the City of Barrie that the Zoning Bylaw be amended as hereinafter provided AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie deems it expedient to amend the bylaw in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning Board NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the City of Barrie enacts as follows THAT Section 125 of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by adding at the beginning the following in place of thefirst three lines thereof I25 ACCESSORY BUILDINGS Residential Uses Semidetached garages and semidetached carports may be erected in rear yards of one family detached dwellings and multiple family dwellings first density provided that each of the pair of semidetached garages or semidetached carports are completely detached from the main building on its lot and is located no closer than 12 metres to the rear lot line except where the rear lot line abuts lane in which case the semidetached garages or semidetached carports may be erected on such rear lot line No other building or other structure except parking structure underground which is accessory to any residential use in any zone shall THAT Section 125 ii of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by substituting the following therefor I25 ii except for swimming pools to be erected in coniunction with any residential use and private attached garages and attached carports to be erected in con iunction with one family detached dwellings and multiple family dwellings first density and street townhouse developments occupy any part of front yard THAT Section I25 vii of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by deleting and at the end thereof THAT Section I25 of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by adding thereto the following 125 ix if private attached garage or attached carport be erected closer to the front lot line than the minimum depth of the front yard required for the main building in the zone in which the lot is located and if private attached garage or attached carport in front of corner lot be erected closer than the minimum depth of the side yard abutting the street required for the main building inthe zone in which the lot is located THAT Section 125 of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by adding thereto the following 125 iii not occupy any part of front yard iv not be erected closer to the side or rear lot line than the minimum side yard requirements for the main building except where the rear yard abuts street in which case the accessory structure shall not be erected closer than the minimum rear yard requirement for the main building THAT Section 127 of Bylaw 6933 be and it is hereby amended by substituting the following therefor 27 offStreet Parking in Front Yards No offstreet parking spaces shall be permitted within the front yard of any lot in any Residential Zone except in the case of group housing project private attached garage or attached carport or ii in any zone where more than 50° of the gross floor area of building in the said lot is devoted to residential use THIS BYLAW shall come into force and have effect im mediately upon the
