club will for fee enter the murky depths of Barries famous bay and seek out your symbol of sailing authority Though Heels is the Only commerciallylicensed member of 35 in the club all the SubAquians are fully accredited amateur divers licensed one or more of several pr incial national or international diving bodies The club is restricted to divers holding these recognized licenses but the SubAquians run course each winter at the Barrie YMYWCA in which new divers can earn their license for the clubs summer activities The SubAquians started their 1979 schedule last Sunday by cleaning up the dock area at the foot of Bayfield St Assisting the city in such clean up projects is practice activi ty for the club and gives its members training for such events like the Prescott Point Provincial Park treasure hunt Scheduled for June 1213 in Kingston the event is expected to attract more than 2000 divers from clubs across On tario Prizes are awarded to divers who find special submerged markers in Lake Ontario Other club activities include regular weekend outings to speciallyselected diving areas from Sarnia to Tobermory One of the biggest events for the club is the annual
