144 CAPE TOWN Renter President John Vorster resigned today Prime Minister Pieter Botha announced in the South African Parliament Botha made the announcement as he presented report on the countrys in formation department scandal that criticiz ed Vorster for covering up the affair when he was prime minister Vorster 63 wasinaugurated as president in October after resigning the premiership for
