close second and sixth Collins has raced since 1974 when he began ice racing on homemade 125 cc machine Hes never looked back Collins walked away from the big Daytona race few weeks back with money in his pocket and was the top Canadian finisher Interspersed between com ments on tires aluminum swingarms that are warped and the need for more oil he talks about his goals raced nearly every weekend last year he says Im being more selective this year Its too expensive and Ive got to pay off the bike Collins says this is the only time you can really race in Canada Other Canadian road races dont have the competi tion Mosport attracts because they cant pay the purses The drivers however arent sure Mosports way is the best though The top American rider Dale Singleton of Dalton Ga received money coach says no to team executive offer By DAVID FULLER Of The Examiner After guiding the Alliston Hornets to the midOntario Junior hockey championship this year coach Roy Weatherbee says he will not be back because of conflicts with the teams executive Im definitely out of it said the 46yearold physical education and recreation in structor from Canadian Forces Base Borden John Fiesen general manager
