Crosbie which rolled back an 18centagallon increase in excise tax had an immediate effect here The increase had prompted service station operators in the city to increase their prices to as much as 301 cents litre on regular gas The lowest price increase determined by poll of operators was to 279 This morning the highest price the Ex aminer found was 255 and the lowest was 239 Unleaded prices of On tario Brian Johnston legal counsel for the On tario Pclice Commission told The Examiner Friday Richard Clarke the lawyer represen ting Barrie commission chairman Eldon Greer has agreed to the proposal written endorsation should be received next week Johnston said that he will mediater go to court headquarters to see if Jan court date is still available They court officials anticipated the slate would be filled up at some point before Christmas Johnston said If it is full Ill try for the first available date after that Originally it was thought six month delay might be the case if the and work boots valued at $12311 from the Woolworth store on Hayfield Street On July 31 the youth stole Ford van from Graham Ford on Bayfield Street abandoning it near Bradford and in August broke into Orv Hardy Motors on Bradford Street but did not steal anything MacDonald will be sentenced later this month or early in January
