firm ML Fifth round key to win Clarke upsets Gray for title HALIFAX CP Chris Clarke gritty Halifax wel terweight boxer upset Clyde Gray for the Commonwealth title in battle of courage and strength Tuesday night when Gray could not continue be cause of cut under his eye Clarke was ecstatic after the win his 20th in as many profes sronal starts and one of the most hardfought battles in Maritime boxing history Throughout the fight he had to struggle against the cham pions relentless attack Gray 32 Commonwealth champion since 1971 was in control almost from the start using skilful rushing
