Ed Jennings $17 million condominium dream for downtown Barrie is dead Roger Oatley who represents the developer in his dealings with the city told The Examiner Monday Jennings has aban doned Kempenfelt Place As far as Mr Jennings is concerned thats the end of the project the lawyer said The Examiner learned Monday that Capital Funds IAC Ontario Ltd which holds the mortgage on the property ex pects to sell it Winston Bradley assistant general manager of the Continental Bank of Canada in Toronto said Mendhamer Holdings which Jennings owns was in default on the mor tgage Continental and the Capital Funds group have the same parent company IAC Uatley said Jennings had advised his tirm he would be leaving Barrie for good Oatley said it is our understanding Jennings would return to Barrie to clean up outstan ding inatteis The Examiner has been unable to reach Jennings for comment Oatley said he is not at liberty to say why Jennings has decided to leave the city But can say it
