the Georgian Bay Stage Band Festival which will help develop and promote high school stage bands in Simcoe County and the Parry Sound and Muskoka areas The regional festival is part of national nonprofit organization The first Canadian Stage Band Festival in 1978 drew 18 bands this years competition in May attracted more than 600 bands from across the coun try The regional stage band festivals are the first tier of the threelevels of competitions Winners at the regional festivals go on to compete in provincial festivals provincial winners then compete in the national festival The
