the province pays 80 per cent and the ministry of com munity and social services has proposed cuts amounting to some $200000 In some measure it could make difference Ald Alex Arthur one of two Barrie coun cil members who sits with the societys board said Thursday Its much better for us if the municipalities are in agree ment MEETING During its July 24 meeting the societys board voted against making the proposed cuts voluntarily and agreed to meet with ministry officials to discuss the issue The meeting has yet to be scheduled It local agreement might make them province modify their stance
