Rotary end fight with title win By mvu FULLER Of The Examiner All the hassles ended for Bar ries Rotary Peewees Sunday when they defeated Chatham 31 to win the Ontario AA hockey championship at Cana dian Forces Base Borden After weeks of haggling bet ween the two teams Barrie finally settled the issue on the ice at the Andy Anderson arena winning the troubled bestofseven series in eight games Brian Cyr scored what prov ed to be the winning goal at 231 of the third period just 22 seconds after Shayne Corson put Barrie in the lead 20 with his goal at 209 Cyr scored the opening goal spo of the game early in the first period The championship series became grudge match when Barrie protested the fifth game played in Chatham Barries protest over coaching elegibili ty was upheld but instead of being awarded the game the Ontario Minor Hockey Associa tion ordered the game be replayed The ruling eventually led to the sevengamc series going to eight games We played music in the dressing room
