Plummers great grand father was Sir John Ab bott Conservative prime minister after Macdonald and Macdonalds chief legal adviser who probably in spired him with the vision of transcontinental railway for Canada The Canadianborn actor now living in the United States and dividing his talents between Hollywood Broadway and London returned to Ottawa Tuesday for preview screening of Riel at Government House The twopart saga of the Metis rebel is to be broadcast on the English and French networks of CBCTV Sunday and Tuesday The preview amounting to command performance by GovGen Edward Schreyer was for an invited audience including the principal actors at Rideau Hall MADE DEBUT IN OTTAWA Plummer who made his professional stage debut here in the late 19405 in the old Canadian Repertory Theatre
