impasse The people who clean and care for public schools in Sim coe County take strike vote to day Contract talks broke off Thursday afternoon between support staff Local 1310 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees lUPEi and the Simcoe founty Board of Educa tion Bruce Land fUtE national representative said Friday his bargaining committee recom mends the 35imember support staff including maintenance and caretaker workers strike He said support staff in Simcoe Tounty have never been on strike Weve done everything humanly possible to avert it Land said The support staff has had enough At our last meeting they were feeling very very militant He said if majority of the support staff who attend Satur days meeting vote in favor of strike it could take place within month NEXT STEP Joe
