round products up rather than down meaning that packages will usually increased in size Milk will be one of the excep tions When it goes metric star ting in Quebec next month five of six milk package sizes will be rounded dowu Consumers who buy milk in cartons will find smaller quan tities on the store shelf amoun ting to at least 12percent decrease in the amount of milk in each package For example onequart carton of milk will be replaced by litre of milk The only milk size to increase because of the metric change is that of package of three ba containing one quart of mi each That is to be replaced by three bags containing 133 litres each The second principle en dorsed by the industry or ganizations states that when change to metric size leads to change in cost the price dif ference
