world Seventyfive thousand people were in the Olympic Stadium to see the closing ceremony and millions more wat ched on TV as the final curtain came down on 15 days of the best sports events in the history of the OlvaiCS Mayor Drapeau the dynamic little mayor of Montreal must have felt very proud of himself as the 75 thousand fans gave him standing ovation lioi Mayor Drapeau it was dream come true They said that he couldnt do it that the buildings would not be ready in time Yet we watc bed the most exciting Olym pic lames ever in the best sports facilities ever built Besides giving accolades to Mayor Drapeau we must tip our hat to the Province of Quebec and the ity of Montreal They did great job and doubt if we will ever see sports spectacle to compare with the 21st Olympiad again Romanias Nadia oinaneci put on dazzling display in gym nastics the likes of which we had never seen or thought possible and her winning smite won the hearts of millions of people watching throughout the world Then we watched the great superstar Koruelia Ender of East lerinany who is only 17 years of age atid has habit of breaking world records in swimming During tier stay at the Olympic Village she became one of the most popular girls there always snnling and pleasant with everyone she met She also became the greatest woman athlete in Olympic history winning more gold medals than any other woman in the history of the 11y inpics We watched Peter oiihof of West Germany cry on the shoulder ot his great coach instave Killian after winning the gold medal for bicvcle pursuit
