Parents cant cope with their childrens sexual development if they cant accept their own sexuality says Judith Wid drington Simcoe County public health nurse The sex and family life courses offered through the Simcoe ounty Board of Educa tion and the public health unit are in support of home teaching she told the Coffee Break group at the Mrs Widdrington said as public health nurses she and Marnie Wilson have spent two years researching the needs in The Market Place ednesday February 1977 What health unit proposes for sex education courses the county schools regarding sex education Last curriculum more Alcona group seeks backing for works grant application BARCLAYiThe Alcona community programming group which sponsored the Goodfellow day camp in Alcona Beach last summer has asked lnnisfil township council to sup port its application for Young Canada Works grant The grant would be used to operate the day camp again next summer Barbara Pawns director of the lcona group said township support for the application is needed to insure we get the grant She reminded council that last year the township applied for an Experience 76 grant KRAIY KIM KELLY HIMSELF from the provincial govern ment on behalf of the group and handled all financial aspects of the day camp 976 GRANT Miss Fawns said the group received $732 Experience 76 grant and raised $2100 in the community last year The money she said was used to pay one fulltime staff member and provide small honoraria for other staff members This year however Miss Fawns said the group hopes to get $9000 from the Young anada Works program to cover expected higher costs of operating the lay camp She said the Simcoe ounty Board of Education last year allowed the group to use Goodfellow Public School free of charge But she expects the board will charge rent to use the school this year to cover higher energy costs She also predicted higher costs of camp staff and materials IIFELARIS Miss Fawns also said her group
