Swigs wish is granted VANCOUVER CP Mel Swig got his wish Wednesday for more time to save the financiallyplagued Cleveland Barons of the National Hockey League Swig went to league governors Tuesday and asked for as sistance and advice He was given roposal by the NHL deferment of league assessments and ues until the end of the seasonbut asked for an extension before delivering final decision Bill Hughes governor for Vancouver Canucks said in an in terview that Swig needs the time because hes got lot to ose Swig has substantial bank loan and think hes on the hook for something better than $2
