CORNER Drivers liked Innisfil race By RANDY MCDONALD Examiner Sports Editor As far as Aurel Dorion is concerned the people of the area missed the boat by passing up the chance to watch the top pros race their snowmachines Mr Dorion headed the committee in charge of putting together the firstever Simcoe up snowmobile races part of the Imiisfil hamber of Commerce annual Winterama Spectator tournout was low Much less than expected The drivers outnumbered the spectators at one ponit Saturday Mr Dorion didnt have the final spectator count nor an exact number of drivers which competed in the event which was sanctioned by the Ontario Snowmobile Racing Federation really dont think the peoplein the area realized the quality of this race Mr Dorion said They missed an event you would see on Wide World of The Siincoc up is the newest addition to the SRF cirlt ciiit It was held at Sunset Speedway and had hiin turnout It was fantastic the turnout of drivers Some were entered in fotir races each day said Dorion He added that the drivers were really enthused by the It was racedrivers race he explained It wasnt just matter of pointing your sled down the track and say ing Ive got more
