the use of the arena should be if the depth of snow at any point on the roof reaches or exceeds 18 or if ice exceeds in ches in depth or if any com bination of snow and ice ac cumulates that reaches to state that detailed design was presently underway to deter mine what action should be taken to bring the arena up to the required standards In the meanwhile it is suggested that the arena continue in use under the ministry of labor guidelines for Limited Monitored Oc cupancy The Consulting Engineers suggest letter be sent to the Ministry of Labor stating the intent to correct deficiencies in the arena letter signed by the reeve and arena manager must also be sent to the ministry including copy of the consulting engineers report and stating that the roof snow load conditions will be monitored by person to be named in the letter and that when the snow on the roof by careful measurement exceeds the limit specified in the Engineers report the arena will not be occupied or will be vacated whichever is ap plicable It was decided that the men hired under the winter works grant would be available to clear the roof when necessary The cost of repairing the arena roof has not yet been determined but the money must be raised from public sub scription and not taken from tax money The Village and surroundingarea will be responsible for raising 25 per cent of the cost of repairs
