into Barries bid to annex 18000 acres from two adjoining towhsips The hearing which has already eaten up 15 days of testimony and legal argument is scheduled to be in session off and on un til January unless the parties reach compromise solution on their own Talks aimed at finding compromise have been held but lawyers have been closemouthed on their progress if any The city is seeking to annex 13500 acres from Innisfil Township and 4600 from Vespra Towhsi The application also asks for 2100 acres from Oro Township but the city announced early in the hearing it no longer wants the 0m land All three townships plus Simcoe County council are opposing the application The hearing resumed this morning with accountant Douglas Irwin city witness on the stand to face crossexamination by lawyers opposing the annexation bid Mr Irwin is only the third witness heard so far during formal testimony The hearings which begin daily at 10 am at the Army Navy anti Air Force Club on George Street are
