to force an early election will not influence or alter government policies The premier said in an inter view that the Progressive Con servative government has believed all along that the peo ple of Ontario do not want an election He was commenting on statement earlier Tuesday by Liberal Leader Stuart Smith who announced that his party will vote with the government next Monday to defeat an NDP nonconfidence motion Mr Smith said in an inter view that an informal poll con ducted by the 36 Liberal MPPs in the last few days indicated most people are opposed to an election at this time have said all along that believe the people of this pro vince do not want an election Mr Davis said gather that Mr Smith now has come to the same point of View The house will vote Monday on an NDP amendment to the throne speech and Liberal subamendment If both mo tions passed the government would fall and an election would be called The NDP amendment criticizes the government for notdealing with issues such of tourist lodge TORONTO CP The pro vincial government will decide before April 21 the fate of Minaki Lodge its $63million tourist resort which has never opened says Fred Boyer of the ministry of industry and tourism Mr Boyer director of the ministrys tourism division said the lodges board of direc tors will announce its future at its April 21 meeting in Minaki Even if the government went
