Recreation Service at the Soldiers Memorial Hall Cooks town came to close last Monday evening Dec Over 20 teachers and leaders of young peoples groups attended six weekly sessions at which many as pects of social recreation were taught by Miss Louise Collcy rc crcation director for Simeon County assisted by Mrs Gordon Todd of Churchill During the course total of 20 play party games and folk dances seven proparty games 22 actIvc and quiet games and nine square dances were learned by the group Instruction in how to lend singing was also given by Mrs Todd who stressed the essential qualifactions of song leader and taught the techniques needed for this skill An important aspect of the course was that everyone who wished had an opportunity to get experience and practice by leading activities themselves Evaluation and discus sion of these efforts helped greatly in developing confident and effect ive leadership At the close of the last evening the whole group was invited to the
