until last night Last night sat with crowd of approximately 200 spectators and learned what fun in fashions couldreaily be At the Oakley Park Home and School show watched the tiny tot models parade acrossthe stage and around the school auditorium pretty mauve sheath bold black and white plaid Jacket were just couple of the numbers modeled for fashionable women this spring But it was the little blond not quite three walking out to centre stage showing off drip dry yellow dress trimmed in white lace and pique who stole the show Ignoring the accepted modeling stance and pirouette the little girl stood her ground and swayed back and forth When her pretty slip was mentioned she simply lifted her skirthigh above her head to show it off It wasnt until prompters from backstage gave the cue that the determined model left her position front and centreEEven then she slipped back for an impromptu goodbyewave The fun in fashions seemed forced for little fellow modeling lounging clothes Attired in brown and green plaid dressing gown the little boy had no chance to lounge but was pulled across the stage and around the auditorium by little girl in pink and white quilted robe Typical of the childrens fashions built for fun was the next number modeled by little girl in long dark ringiets The darkhaired model wore an easyfitting blue and white gingham dress with an extrafresh look provided by white pique trim stiff crinoline white wideabrlmmed hat and of course white gloves For little girls and their moth ers the white trim provided the finishing touch to this springs smart costume For little boys the allimportant feature was not the color nor thestyling but the fact that most of the costumes were wash and wear spot and wrinkle resistant rom sport shirts and Jeans to Jacket and flannels hreebutton suits with con tinental trousers the oung boys were dressed in easytocaredor clothes highlight of theboys fashions might have been sporty outfit composed of short pants an vest had not the model balked strong persuasion from backstage propelled the little boy of about three to appear briefly centre front in pair of navy blue shorts and plaid vest His appearance was so brief in fact that cant remember if the vest was red and white or red and blue plaid After hearing the commentator men tion that his shorts were held urby shoulder straps he decided it was time to leave and disappeared un ceremoniome behind the curtain Isnt it true nothing is more fun in fashions than children YOULHEALTH Measles May Cause Cell Pneumonia By BUNDESEN MD read YOU HAVE heard of
