Mrs Joseph Noble took place at the home of her son inlaw Wilfred Nelson at Sheldon on March 26 1954 highly re spected resident of Mono Town ship she was in her 84th year She was the youngestand last surviving member of family of nine The former Elizabeth Hogg she was the daughter of Thomas Hogg and Margaret Hare early pioneers of the Violet Hill district on the fourth line of Mono and was born on years Mr Noble died on Feb 10 rem Later she and her sons moved to Detroit Mich returning to Ontario about 20 years ago Since then she had shared her daughters home During her residence on the fifth line of Mulmur Mrs Noble was vitally interested in the activities of the Fifth Line Methodist Church which was nearby and visitors to the church and cemetery were always duo of welcome and re freshment for both themselves and their horses at her home The minister also had standing invit atlon to rest and dine between the long drives to the other churches Perm Mt Pleasant and Jennings which were on the circuit The many old friends from the Stunton and Mansfield communi ties who called at the homeand attended the funeral service testi fied to the esteem with which she and her family were held In later years she was member of Rosemont United Church and Womans Associationand was member of Rosemont Womens Institute She enjoyed attending these meetings until quite recently FOur years ago she had the mis fortune to break an arm and the following year broke her hip but made splendid recovery from both accidents Last fall she spent few weeks in the hospital follow lllg stroke arid once again re covered However during the winter the deaths of several old friends greatly depressed her and this was climaxed by the sudden death of her greatgrand daughter little Linda McKibbon on March She passed away two weeks later She is survived by herdaughter Mrs Wilfred Nelson Irene and two sons Russell of Leonard Mich and Allan of Royal Oak Mich 10 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren She rested at her late home Lot 24 Con Mono Township until Monday when funeral service was held in Thomas Funeral Chapel Allistonwith interment in Alliston Union Cemetery The family past or Rev Roy Speer of Mansfield was in charge of the service The remains were carried by Robert McKelvey Harry Holland Arthur Caldwell William Bradley Harold Hutch and Kenneth Noble The flowers sent in loving mem
