Howard Burbidges local rink who won third place Fourth prize in the draw went to Jim Gillies of Gait with one win and plus 10 Brown in sweeping to top draw honors defeated Tim Winfields rink from Wingham George Stron achs strong quartet from Toronto Granites and finished with win over Bruce Ray of Royal Canadians Toronto Cookstowns entry made by Ken Crawford but skipped by Thorntons broadshouldered Herb Shannon made powerful showing for top laurels in the first draw They had total plus of 12 and an aggregate 34 for three wins defeatingEari Youngs Parry Sound rink who had plus nine and an aggregate 31 for three victories Earl Young was forced to take second prize in the draw while third spot went to Jack Kennedys late entry from Barrie Kennedy rallied rink at the last moment when Parkins pink from Toronto Granites made lastminute with drawal The local four of George Banting Bob Peacock Larry Hart and Kennedy missed the first game of the draw but scored two straight
