Metropolitan Police Department plain clothes man was appointed Chief of Police of Alliston by the Alliston Town Council last night Joseph Youdeli 86yearold Navy veteran who is presently serving in Downsvjew North Keele St Division of the Metro police force has accepted the appointment and will take up his duties in Alliston on March Another two police constables will be appointed alter the new chief takes office so that Al liston will have threeman poi ice force Youdell was one of 15 appli cunts for the position Council finally narrowed the field to three Dr Pitcher head of the Alliston thorized its business manager Norman Taylor to withold bus service during inclement wea ther The decision is the sugar to difficulties experienced recently during storms Bus services at nearby Midland
