Patterson. Rev. L. McLean -tied the nuptial knot, in the presence of the immediate relatives and friends. The bride was unattended and wore a` dainty gown of white taffeta silk. Mr. and Mrs. Patterson are spendingi their honeymoon `in Chatham, De-g troit and other points. The bride travelled in a tailored costume of] blue broadcloth and hat to match. On their return they will reside. in Stroud. Many handsome and use- ful gifts were received. OBSEQUIES OF R. G. MCCRAW. The funeral of the late Robert Gordon McCraw, notice of whose death appears _on page 2, took place on Monday afternoon from the fam- ily residence, Craigvale, -and was of an impressive character. The cortege extended fully a mile, and was re- presentative of the community in which deceased had lived and died. Rev. G. I. Craw of Thornton con- ducted a memorial service in the Presbyterian Church, interment, be- ingin the Sixth line cemetery. The Masonic ritual was observed at both the house and the grave, and there was a large attendanceof the breth- ren. There were many Orangemen, too. present, Mr. .MoCraw havin been a former `Chaplain of the local lodge. On all sides expressions were heard, attesting the high character and noble example of the. deceased.` In religion the late Mr.` eM c9Craw was a Presbyterian. He was an Eld- er in the Craigvale Presbyterian, Church and Superintendent of the Sabbath School wxth "whnch he had been connected for over forty years.
