Chas.` Drury ._s death will come as something of a shock. A gsturdy. rugged-faced farmer, who in {his accent gave trace of his English Iancestry, iMr. Drury was a man who {was greatly liked by the rank and [file -of t'he_Li~bera.l' party of that time. He reserved his speeches for subjects that he had thoroughly mas tered. and no man had a better `grasp -of the practical questions af- lecting the farmer. The changes in the Amer ican tariff had cut off the market for the (barley crop that was one of the great staples.
