Oct. 1l.-The entire province of New Brunswick resembles a '.lake at nine o'clock to-night. It rained steadily for 118 hours, and 10 inches of rain have fallen. No trains are moving on the C. P. R. between St. John and Vanceboro or on the branch lines of the road to St. Andrew s. St. Stephen. Fredericton or Woodstock caused by an agazreaation of washonts. The bridge at Hcvlon,' on the main line. was swept away. Between St. John and Vanceboro and branch lines there are 25 washonts, some 150- feet long and 25 feet deep. _Conditions are the worst in years, and thousands of dollars of damage has been done. The Shore Line and the I. C. R. also suffered some damage.
