The congregation, by a large majority, . decided in favor of Bradford and "the Scotch Settlement being con- constituted a charge. By taking Stroud appointment o' Churchill and adding it to Allandale, which is , nancially weak, and taking St. John off the Bradford. charge and placing it with Churchill, such an arrangement as is proposed by the Bradford congregation could be easily effected and no serious interruption` would be made. This would put Bradford in .the position to have two services every -Sabbath-a matter conceded to be of vital import- - ance-and. would also give the south church an afternoon instead -of a morn ing service as at present, and which we have reason to believe, would be pre- ferable. It is recognizedhy mostly all Presbyterians that the Bradford charge as at present constituted, is too large and that it is almost impossible for any minister ct ordinary physical ability to eioiently perform the duties expected of him. Now that a- vacancy has occurred here and also at Allandale, it is thought that a move should be made in the direction above .indicated. The Presbytery will be asked to take up the matter. and seek to enlist the sympathy of the several congregations that would be e'ected in the proposed `change.- Bradford Witness.
