The other railway brctherhoods have had meetings. and it is. said have done everything possible to help the traekmen. except going on strike, and that step has not yet been taken, though it is thought in many quarters that unless the road is soon manned by vtrackmen, they will, out of regard for the safety of their lives, refuse to run. M ay, as she was fondly and familiarly called, was a bright, intelligent and promising young woman. As a member of the Public school teaching staff, she had done good work and her relatives and friends looked forward, until lately, to alife of happiness and usefulness for her. But last fall she was attacked -by a pulmon- ary disease, which slowly but surely accom- plished its dread work. Amiable in dis- position, possessed of rare kindness and goodness of heart. most ladylike and cour- teous in her ways, deceased will be greatly missed by the community generally. The sorrowing parents, brothers and sisters feel the need of and have the deepest sympathy of all who knew the departed.
