Previous to coming to this town he lived in Toronto, where he carried on upholstering. In that city he was an active member and supporter of Agnes street Methodist church and Sun- day achool, and a prominent worker along all Christian lines. Much of his leisuretime was spent in religious work in the prisons. Seven years ago Mr. Ralnford married Miss Margaret Wanless. of Floss. the ceremony being performed by Rev. Robt. Moodie. of Barrie. She is still living and has a little boy six years of age. Mr. Rainford was under the doctor's care for the last sixteen months, and gradually sank until the end came. His funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. `Pearson, assisted by Rev. Mr. Moodie, the pallbearers being Messrs. W. Freek, G Reedy, '1`. Smith, J. D. Rogers, W. H. Myers and Mr. Lloyd.
