Gilmour. Varsity has a team that with a little practice would hustle the best of them. Barrie scored the first goal. Varsity the second. Cross doing the ' needful ; Barrie scored the third game in about 13 minutes hard play. The score then stood 2 to 1. Varsity then pulled them- selves together, and Cross did the handsome `again. . Then came the struggle for the last goal. Varsity had many` narrow escapes. But the strong combination of Heggie, Gil- mour and Knowles on defence was too much for Barrie, and after a hard tussle Cross again put in a hot one. which the Barrie de- fence failed to stop. The score was three- to two in favor of Varsity with four minutes , to play. No, further scoring was done.
