Thos. McKee, P. S. I., of Barrie, called the meeting to order, when he delivered a short introductory address. in which he complimented the teacher, Mr. Gilbert \Vilson, -on his success in being honored with such a large number of pleasant faces, whose presence ably testified to the esteem in which he is held by residents of the_ section and others, and also to the appreciation which his services as teacher merited. A long and most interesting enter- tainment was then proceeded with, which consisted of readings, recitations, and a most pleasing selection of instrumental duets, &c. , and several kindergarten songs by the child- ren. Mr. Samuel Brown, teacher, read a couple of selections in the Dutch dialect, which literally brought down the house. A s elling match also took lace between the a ve named school an No. 9, Innisl.` The spelling lasted about 45 minutes, and the words were taken from the Ontario Fourth Reader. It is not necessary to state that the Cherr Hillites were the victors. After passing t e usual votes of thanks the meeting was closed by singing the National Anthem, after which `the benediction was pronounced by Rev. J. J.
