After serving` as a reporter on The Barrie Examiner he went to T0r- onto as Circulation Manager of I110` 1`oronto News. From there he went to` Ottawa, where he became Biisiiiess Manager and partner in the Ottawa Free Press. On Jan. 15, 1919. he was appointed Advertising Manager of The Globe and on Nov. 27, 1919, was made Business Manager. from whirh posi-i tion he resigned April 30. 1922.
