After the wedding a dainty lunch- eon was served at (}1enho1m, the home of the bride's parents. where a colour scheme of white and pink was carried out. United Church Anniversary Very successful anniversary ser- vices were held in St. John s Church on `Sunday, October 14. The weather was ideal for this time of year and good crowds from.toWn and country attended the services. The church was prett-ily decorated with cut owers. Rev. L. R. Ballantyne of Ori-Ilia. was the special speaker and gave two. very interesting and in- spiring addresses. In the morning he delighted the younger members or the congregation with a story. The morning text was taken from Sam- uel 3:1, And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. In the evening the theme was Peter's Denial. The choir furnish- ed appropriate music at both ser- vices. A `solo 'Co-me Unto Me," was rendered by Vance Rintou-1 in the morning and Miss Victoria Strange oi!
