The late Mr. White was a native of Quebec, having been born at Smithstown. He was a well known hotel man, and had -been in the busi- ness. forty years. The first place` was at `Callendar, where he spent| twenty-six years, two years were` spent in Barrie and four years in Klncardine before going to Orillia In 1915. For ten years Mr. White managed` the Orillia. House. and made many friends amongst thel travelling public during that time. Early in the year he suffered al stroke. after which he had never recovered his strength. Four years` ago Mr. White suffered the loss of' his wife, and in 1922, `a son, Josephl White. was taken. A family of five` survives. three daughters, Miss Su- sle White and Miss Margaret W hite, Orlllia, and Mrs. `Vice of Stroud. and two sons, W. G. White of Coch- rane and H.pR. mite, Orillia.
