E. Harley's All-Stars and handed them a 6-3 defeat. Although their first game off home ice. they started away at a fast clip and. kept it up. Two goals were slipped past Walsh before anyone . was even warmed up, Johnston, at right wing, scoring both. After fifteen mi-n- utes of play, Walsh, rushing out of the goal to make a save. got hit on the nose with a batted puck and had to retirefrom the game. Adams. who had tried repeatedly to` score with Jack in goal, beat the new goaltender after a display of stickhandling from behind his own net. Johnston. sharpshooter of the night, netted anoth- ergoal before half time. Jack Moore came on the ice to help Barrie in the last half but did not get past Mines- ing's defence. Roe and Ronald stopping his rushes repeatedlsy. Two more goals increased Minesing total `to ix. See- ing that they could not beat the de- fence. Barrie commenced shooting from outside the line and succeeded in netting three lucky goals. White, play. ing centre- and D. Keast subbing left wing. were prominent` backcheckers.
