Ferndale. -. . 9 The Date Edward Richardson One of the oldest citizens of the Edenvale district was called `by death on Saturday. Feb. 6, in the person of Edward Richardson. His end was as a peaceful sleep,'.,atter. an illness of but four days, his physical body just worn \ut after his ninety-fivegyears of `life's experiences. Throughout his long and useful existence. Mr. Richard- son had enjoyed the respect of `those among. whom he dwelt. V rm... fnnnval was held on.Feb. 9 to the . S. S. Petch 0 whom he dwelt. No. 10. - A AMr. Richardson was a native of Tor- o to. having been born in what is now the heart of the city in 1831. His father owned the Blue Bell Hotel on Queen St. and two acres of land attached thereto. At the age of five. he went with his parents `to live on a farm at Woodbridgeand succeeded his father on the farm. In 1878 he moved to Flos and took up land on the Third Line. near Vigo, his farm then being `nearly all bush. He drove all the way from Woodbridge and at Barrie picked up his family who came-there by train. _Mr. Richardson was a Methodist and a Liberal.
