Pyaemia was the cause of-death,' deceased having been ill for only a week. _ _ ` Dr. Scott was` born at Rugby, Ont., on'MayV 27, 1858. For over 25 years he had practised `dentistry in Elmvale and had helda high place in the 'es- timation of the community. For a time he served as a school trustee. He was an- elder in the Presbyterian church for years but, being a firm- believer in Union} attended .the Meth- odist church after the vote was taken.
