The deceased was a daughter. [of the late James McEachern, oneof the iold pioneers, and was born in this township iseventy-two yers ago. In 1871' she was married and settled on a farm here. In 1896 lshe and her family of ten children were isorely bereaved by the sudden death of her lhusband. At that time farming was hard work and prices low. but Mrs. Gray faced lthe situation with a brave heart and `raised la family of boys and girls that are orna- ments`in any community` today for their thrift and industry. Their filial attention to their mother made her last years very hap- ipy. The funeral took place on Wednesday to the Edgar cemetery. Service was con- ducted by Rev. Mr. Gibson.
